Islamathematica Touring Exhibition

The exhibition began its life at the ICA in London in 1971 as the exhibition for the first World of Islam Festival. The concept was then picked up by the Museum Vorlandenkunde in Rotterdam, Netherlands, showing in 1973.

Meanwhile, Thames and Hudson published “The Language of Pattern” co-authored by the same group responsible for the exhibitions, Keith Albarn, Jenny Miall Smith, Stanford Steele and Dinah Walker.
